Ingredients:
1 pint milk
1 heaped tablespoon cornflour plus a bit extra if you like
it thicker
1 teaspoon mustard - powder or from a jar
Pepper
2 handfuls (or more of you like it really cheesy) tasty
cheddar
Directions:
Place all the ingredients into a non-stick saucepan over a medium heat.
Whisk ingredients together whilst they are gently heating.
Keep whisking until thickened and glossy.
If too runny, mix a teaspoon of cornflour with a little milk and whick into the hot sauce.
Use immediately or put in a jug, cover with cling film and reheat later whilst whisking in a pan.
(Some people find it more manageable to make a plain suace first, then add the cheese and melt it in)
